The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, has congratulated Ms. Adebayo Benjamins-Laniyi on her appointment as the Director-General of the National Centre for Women Development by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
In a congratulatory message issued on Friday, the presidential aide described the appointment as worthy, well-deserved and a recognition of her outstanding performance and track record of excellence in public service.
Hon. Abba Isa noted that Ms. Benjamins-Laniyi has continued to distinguish herself through impactful leadership, particularly in her current role as the Mandate Secretary for Women Affairs in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to him, her appointment did not come as a surprise considering her dedication, competence and commitment to advancing the cause of women and vulnerable groups across the country.
The SSA expressed confidence that the newly appointed Director-General would bring her wealth of experience, administrative capacity and passion for service to bear in repositioning the National Centre for Women Development for greater impact.
He further commended her for championing inclusive policies and empowerment initiatives that have positively affected Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), women and other disadvantaged groups in society.
Hon. Abba Isa also praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as “identifying the right person for the right job,” adding that the appointment reflects the President’s commitment to competence, inclusion and national development.
The presidential aide equally congratulated other members appointed into the Governing Council of the Centre, including Ms. Lois Auta, whom he described as a staunch advocate for women with disabilities and disability inclusion in Nigeria.
He wished all the appointees success in their new assignments and urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them through dedicated and impactful service to the nation.
