Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, has reaffirmed the Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to the welfare, inclusion, and empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) across Nigeria.
Hon. Abba Isa gave the assurance on Monday, December 30, 2025, at the End-of-Year Get-Together Celebration organized by the Joint National Association of Persons with Disabilities (JONAPWD), Ika South Chapter.
The event was held at City Car Wash, opposite Alihame Junction, Agbor, in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.

He was represented by Comrade Fortune Ogorgbulem, National President of the Boy Child Initiative, who also stood in for Comrade Sunday Arimokwu, Personal Assistant to the SSAP.
Comrade Ogorgbulem conveyed the warm greetings and goodwill of Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa to members of the association.
Speaking at the event, Comrade Ogorgbulem emphasized that Persons with Disabilities are fully captured in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He noted that the agenda is deliberately structured to serve every Nigerian without discrimination based on physical condition, location, or circumstance.

He further stated that Hon. Abba Isa is deeply interested in obtaining accurate data and detailed information on the challenges confronting PWDs in Ika South and across Delta State. According to him, this information will be presented directly to Mr. President to attract appropriate policy attention and targeted interventions.
Comrade Ogorgbulem described the establishment of the Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities as a landmark achievement in Nigeria’s democratic journey and a clear demonstration of President Tinubu’s commitment to inclusive governance.
He reassured members of JONAPWD that 2026 will usher in a stronger, more visible, and more impactful government presence in the lives of Persons with Disabilities, as the Federal Government intensifies efforts to ensure they fully benefit from national development programmes.

While wishing the association a peaceful and memorable celebration, he encouraged members to remain hopeful and steadfast, reminding them that “the only true disability is a disabled mindset,” and that with determination and resilience, there are no limits to what can be achieved.
In his remarks, the Chairman of JONAPWD, Ika South Chapter, Mr. Ogor Friday, expressed deep appreciation to Hon. Abba Isa for remembering Persons with Disabilities and for consistently taking their concerns to the highest levels of government. He assured the SSAP of the continued support of Persons with Disabilities for the APC-led Federal Government, pledging their loyalty and cooperation in advancing inclusive governance in Nigeria.

The event concluded with goodwill messages, prayers for the nation, and renewed optimism among participants for a more inclusive and responsive government in the year ahead.
