Northeast Zonal leader for Persons with Disabilities in the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his victory at the Supreme Court on Thursday.
Hon. Abba Isa, who doubles as the National Chairman, APC PWD Progressive Stakeholders Forum, stated that the judgment was a well deserving one that met the expectations of Nigerians and teeming supporters of Mr President.
He emphasized that given the multitudes of voters that trooped out on February 25 to vote for President Tinubu, no one expected anything short of victory for the president at the supreme court.
Recall that the supreme court had on Thursday dismissed the appeal filed by presidential candidates of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar and Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi challenging the election of Tinubu as president of Nigeria for lack of merit.
The apex court also affirmed the election of president Tinubu as the winner of the 2023 presidential election as pronounced by the Independent National Electoral Commision, INEC.
Delivering the unanimous judgment, the seven justices of the supreme court led by Justice John Okoro, held that both Atiku and Obi could not prove that they scored higher votes that the ones allotted to Tinubu by the Independent National Electoral Commision, INEC.
The APC chieftain stressed that the supreme Court being the highest court of the land has put final seal on any litigation concerning the 2023 presidential election hence the President Tinubu should be allowed to concentrate on implementing the Renewed Hope mandate of the APC for the benefit of Nigerians.
Hon. Abba Isa therefore called on Nigerians irrespective of political leaning to rally round the President to ensure that he delivers more dividends of democracy and move the country on the path of sustainable progress.
