The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal Opportunities, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isa, has congratulated the Executive Governor of Yobe State, His Excellency Mai Mala Buni, on the occasion of his 6th anniversary in office, hailing his administration’s transformative and inclusive governance.
In a personally signed statement, Hon. Abba Isa commended Governor Buni for his bold and people-centered leadership, describing his six-year tenure as a period of remarkable progress across critical sectors, including education, infrastructure, security, and social inclusion.
“Your Excellency, your administration has demonstrated outstanding vision by declaring a state of emergency in education, revamping schools, and expanding access to quality learning across Yobe State,” the statement reads.
He also lauded the Governor’s strides in infrastructure development, particularly in road construction, housing, and healthcare, which he said have positively impacted both urban and rural communities.
Abba Isa highlighted the restoration of peace and security in the state as a cornerstone of Governor Buni’s achievements, enabling internally displaced persons to return home with renewed hope and dignity.
He further praised the administration’s commitment to empowering women, youth, and the vulnerable through inclusive programs that reflect genuine people-oriented governance.
In a particularly heartfelt tribute, the Presidential aide celebrated Governor Buni’s groundbreaking efforts in disability inclusion. “Most notably, under your compassionate leadership, Yobe State achieved a historic milestone with the establishment of the Yobe State Commission for Persons with Disabilities—a major step toward ensuring social justice, equity, and inclusion,” he said.
He emphasized that the Governor’s consistent support for persons with disabilities—from access to healthcare and skills development to policy inclusion—serves as a national model and aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which upholds the rights and dignity of all Nigerians.
“As you mark six years of excellence in governance, I pray for continued wisdom, strength, and divine guidance in your journey of service to humanity,” Hon. Abba Isa concluded.
