A prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Augustine O. Olusola, has congratulated Hon. Kolawole Babatunde on his election as the Chairman of the party in Ondo State, describing his emergence as well-earned and reflective of years of dedication to the party and public service.
In a congratulatory message made available to journalists, Olusola noted that Babatunde’s victory was a natural outcome of his longstanding commitment, loyalty, and strategic contributions to the growth of the APC in the state.
He highlighted Babatunde’s political trajectory, recalling his tenure as the representative of Akoko South West/South East Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, as well as his service as Special Adviser on Rural Development to the late former Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
He also acknowledged Babatunde’s role in handling Legislative and Party Affairs, noting that he demonstrated competence and reliability in all positions held.
According to Olusola, Babatunde’s emergence goes beyond politics, describing it as a testament to his resilience, patience, and ability to foster unity within the party.
“Leadership at this level requires not only political capacity but also emotional intelligence and the ability to unite diverse interests. These are qualities Hon. Babatunde has consistently demonstrated,” he said.
Olusola urged the new chairman to sustain his inclusive leadership style, stressing that party members and stakeholders would look up to him for direction, fairness, and cohesion.
He expressed confidence in Babatunde’s ability to strengthen the party’s internal structure and lead it to greater electoral success in the state.
The APC chieftain concluded by wishing the new chairman a successful tenure, praying for wisdom, strength, and grace as he assumes office.
